Aunt Polly’s meatballs are one of Café Lago’s signature dishes, and in this hands-on class, Chef Lauren Thompson will take us through the techniques behind them and what makes a great meatball. We will explore everything from choosing and combining ingredients to mixing, shaping, and seasoning, with a focus on creating meatballs that are tender and full of flavor.

Along with Aunt Polly’s, we will also make other styles of meatballs, including a vegetarian version, using different ingredients and approaches to see how each affects texture and flavor. We will also prepare red sauce and pasta to round out the meal, then sit down together to enjoy everything we have made.

At each Class on the Farm you will get the chance to enjoy Bellsong Creamery cheeses, sip a glass of something special, and gather around a beautifully prepared meal.
