Bitter, sweet, flavorful, and fresh: We invite you to join us at the farm as Omid Roustaei guides through a gorgeous menu of Persian favorites during this hands-on class held in our schoolhouse kitchen. The author of the new cookbook, Bitter & Sweet: Global Flavors from an Iranian-American Kitchen, Roustaei will introduce us to bold and beautiful flavors that are balanced by seasonal produce, as class attendees help prepare a feast that includes: Polo ba Tahdi, Iranian fluffy rice with a crispy saffron layer; Khoresh Rivas, a springtime beef and herb stew crafted with rhubarb; Kuku Kadu, a summer squash and herb frittata; as well as, Maast-o Khiar, a minty yogurt dish that features cucumbers, raisins and rose petals. After Roustaei guides us through the preparation of each dish, we will enjoy the fruits of our labors together over a gorgeous communal meal. Come and join us!
