Join Chef Hend Yahya for a hands-on class focused on three dumpling styles from different parts of the world. We’ll make each dough and filling from scratch, learn how each dumpling is shaped and cooked, and taste what we make along the way.

The menu includes Nepali steamed momos with a seasonal meat filling and spicy tomato achar, Arabian cheese sambusas made with semolina dough, and Eastern European salmon pelmeni served with sour cream and red wine vinegar.

Farm Fridays are shorter daytime classes and workshops at Bella Luna Farms, created for those with a little flexibility in their Friday schedule. Each one will focus on a particular skill, subject, or seasonal project, with plenty of time to learn, take part, and enjoy being at the Farm.

Guests are invited to arrive at 10:30 am for coffee or tea before class begins at 11:00 am. Enjoy a light lunch featuring what you’ve made together during the class before wrapping up at approximately 2:00 pm.

The Instructor

Hend Yahya

A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, Hend trained in French and Western culinary techniques before going on to cook in Michelin-starred restaurants and high-volume catering kitchens. What began as a temporary move into teaching quickly became a new culinary path, inspired by the connection and satisfaction she found sharing food and technique with others.

Her cooking draws deeply from Southwest Asian and North African traditions, alongside a longstanding passion for Japanese cuisine. An avid traveler and endlessly curious cook, Hend is especially drawn to discovering the lesser-known dishes, ingredients, and techniques that make food cultures so distinct.
